Marc Grossman knew Cesar Chavez the last 24 years of his life, serving most of that time as his press secretary, speechwriter, and personal aide. Now in his 53rd year with the farm worker movement, he still serves as a spokesperson for the Cesar Chavez Foundation and the United Farm Workers and was a technical advisor for Diego Luna’s 2014 major motion picture Cesar Chavez. Cesar took Marc with him almost everywhere in California and often out of state. Marc earned a B.A. degree in American history from the University of California, Irvine in 1972, and a master’s degree in journalism at U.C.L.A. in 1973.
